Hi, I’m Emily!

Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 15 years of experience as a social worker, and a decade of experience providing clinical care. I began this work in 2009 working at the intersection of domestic violence and disability, and continued to expand my work in the queer community working with unhoused queer youth and queer and trans people living with HIV. In 2024 I began my private practice, tailoring my work to trans and queer individuals and couples at the intersection of gender, sexuality, and neurodiversity in New York and Hawaii. I received my Master of Social Work from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in 2014 and have completed post-graduate training in Systemic Sex Therapy with Ackerman Institute for the Family.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a queer, poly, AuDHD, nonbinary femme, I know how important it is to have a therapist who you don’t need to explain yourself to. I provide shame-free, direct, and supportive therapy for those who are looking for support with queerness, trans identity, polyamory, sex therapy, and other sexuality and gender-related issues at the intersection of neurodivergence.

Therapy with me is kind, curious, and confrontational. Want to break that old relationship habit? Want to make a change that you've been wanting to make for years? I'll keep you accountable. I offer one on one sessions and relationship therapy for couples and multi-partner relationships. Ask me about my therapy intensives!

What you can expect from our first session

Sessions are unique and tailored to the individual need of my client/s. Expect to work collaboratively with me to set your therapeutic goals knowing that they are not linear and new desires continue to pop up through the therapeutic process. You will laugh. You may cry. You will leave session with something to think about. You may explore places within yourself, or your relationship, that you've never been! Are you ready to begin?
